Genevieve Valentine has sold her first novel, Mechanique: A Tale of the Circus Tresaulti, to Sean Wallace at Prime Books, for a mid-2011 release. A rising talent in the field, Valentine has had short fiction published in Clarkesworld Magazine, Fantasy Magazine, Federations, Strange Horizons, and many more venues. And, now with Mechanique she explores the many wonders, and dangers, of The Mechanical Circus Tresaulti, "as it travels the landscape of a ruined country under the spectre of war . . . but when two of its performers become locked in a battle of wills, the circus's own past may be the biggest threat of all.” |

That looks like so much fun. Congrats to Genevieve!
Sounds like a terrific book.
Even if she hadn't even started writing it, it would be a brilliant book for Prime to buy. | |
