I should have all of those (with the exception of 1098?), and readily accessible when I get home this evening.
It was 1985. I don't know how that crept in. What I'm looking for, which is unlikely for the 1985 through 1995 Recommended Reading lists is if any online venue got listed in the ss category. This should be a simple quick check. For 1998 it's unlikely, too, but you never know . . . I'd need a scan of that category if there are any. For the Locus Poll, what I need is just the name of the online venue, and what number placement it garnered. With all of that in hand I'll be able to crank out something interesting, after the New Year.
Of equal interest is how online fiction magazines did in the magazine poll, too, at what point did voters become aware of them. Like the following:
1982: zero 1983: zero 1984: missing 1985: missing 1986: zero 1987: missing 1988: zero 1999: missing 1990: zero 1991: zero 1992: missing 1993: missing 1994: zero 1995: missing 1996: zero 1997: zero 1998: missing 1999: zero 2000: missing 2001: SciFiction (5), Strange Horizons (17) 2002: SciFiction (5), Strange Horizons (11), The Infinite Matrix (17) 2003: SciFiction (4), Strange Horizons (9), Fantastic Metropolis (18) 2004: SciFiction (4), Strange Horizons (6), Fantastic Metropolis (21), Infinite Matrix (23) 2005: missing 2006: Strange Horizons (4), Baen's Universe (8), Clarkesworld (20) 2007: Jim Baen's Universe (8), Strange Horizons (9), Clarkesworld (14), Fantasy Magazine (16) 2008: Clarkesworld Magazine (9), Strange Horizons (10), Fantasy Magazine (19) **(doublecheck)** 2009: Tor.com (3), Clarkesworld (4), Strange Horizons (6), Fantasy Magazine (14), Baen's Universe (18)
