Numbers and Gender Breakdown for Submissions [Dec. 2nd, 2007|11:24 am]
The numbers are in: in its first month of being online, we managed 5031 individual hits (3164 absolute unique), with 11,642 pageviews. The average time on the site was 2:48 minutes. I don't know what all that means, as yet, but I'll chalk it up to a good start. We're still kicking in the tires, so I haven't focused much on creating buzz for the site, but that'll intensify in the next few months, and we'll see if the numbers don't go up.

For submissions, we had a total of 190 submissions, most of which were responded to in two weeks or less. Here's the gender breakdown:

Female: 63 (33%)
Male: 127 (66%)

Acceptances: 6
Female: 4 (66%)
Men: 2 (33%)

We saw pretty much the same numbers in our first month of accepting submissions online, and then it started balancing itself out, the longer people saw what was going in in the magazine, so I doubt that this will correct itself a bit down the road. We'll see.
