|"Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoilt the vines, for our vines have tender grapes."

I am rarely encouraged to go out and get something specific in the way of new books, but after giving in to a recommendation by Holly Phillips, I went ahead and picked up Perfect Circle by Sean Stewart late last night at a Borders. I sat down in the cafe, cracked up the paperback, and started right in. I managed to finish a few chapters, before being thrown out at closing time. (I read a bunch more later that night, burning the midnight oil). I have to say I am not easily impressed these days, but I was blown completely away. I'd be very surprised if this wasn't a World Fantasy nominee. If you want to be creeped out by real horror, I'd highly recommend this. Kelly Link and Gavin Grant at Small Beer Press are definitely to be commended for publishing this.
